So we finally shed the truck. Load up on Pringles and tonic water and now there’s a storm? A dang hurricane this late in October and another waiting in the wings named Tony? Well I guess we’ll sit here a few days in Adams Creek NC and see what Sandy wants to do. It’s 2:00 PM and we’re done for the day. This is after pushing off at 11:00. We needed a change of scenery and with no car the previous Marina was pretty isolated. This early stop will permit some catching up on little things in the boat.
Maybe I’ll rig the windsurfer and get some small craft advisory windsurfing in if the storm comes close–the best kind. It’s about 85 degrees here today so no wet-suit required in these conditions.
Solar panel has batteries maxed out, refrigerator is chilling beer and icecubes and Coldplay is singing “Paradise” on the radio. Not bad for a hurricane watch!
