There’s hope in Hope Town

Hope Town Bahamas,

hello all, with our WiFi tech difficulty a bit out of order on what I’ve posted or photo-op’d to the blog.

I thought I’d quickly try and describe some photos and what we were doing there.  The town is really quaint and has beautiful little buildings and streets.  We laughed if you chose one of these colors to paint your house in the states the neighborhood association would run you out of town, but here it looks all good!?  The harbor is moorings only, it is so crowded that this was most likely the safest approach to keep boats from bumping into one another while anchored.  The moorings are designed for boats 44 feet or less so we just squeezed in.  It is clear as you swing that if you put two 50′ near one another they would bump.  There is that little margin.  It’s all about the money mon.  They want as many boats squeezed in there as possible.

We found a beautiful beach on the Atlantic side.  We saw it rough when we arrived and swam there the next day when the wind turned.  Just beautiful.  There was a nice resort too with 2.50 Kalik beers, very refreshing.
