Conch Hunt

So we left Hope Town and went north back to Green Turtle Cay.  We have been here 3-4 days (Truth be told keeping track of the days is not easy).  We spent the first night in White Sound and then due to weather came to Black Sound to take slip or mooring.

The wind blew hard for two days, we had some serious cloud cover and probably the worst weather we’ve seen in a month.  It wasn’t bad by most standards just bad for us.

There was a little cabin fever from a few so we went on a Conch hunt.  We wanted conch salad and getting the local bahamians into this frigid water was NOT going to happen.  Alek and Patricia were in charge of the Conch, Cole and I were hunting coconuts.  Both hard to get good ones and live in ridiculous shells.  This was the day before new years eve.  Tomorrow we have dinner reservations at Harvey’s Grill for dinner.  Should be swanky.  We’ll see what the night life is like at GTC and New Plymouth for New Years.  There is also a Junkanoo in the plans for New Year’s Day, we’ll see what that is all about.
