This is not my beautiful house….(Talking Heads)

Not sure why the font is so large in the title?  We’ll see how it publishes.

For months now we try and take the “same” photo off the bow of the boat at sunset or evening and will put them all together at the end.  Here’s the latest.

WTF!!! No really WTF?

WTF!!! No really WTF?

That giant white bundle is the head sail which must be removed before they will haul you as some folks leave boats in yards so long that the wind tears open the head sail and then the boat goes “sailing” across the yard; usually in a storm.

Here is a compilation of the environment that we find ourselves in, this is NOT the Bahamas.

In foreclosure....wonder why?

To our stern, towards the Cruise basin, they blow the horn a lot over there...it is loud

Steel hull, also in foreclosure. They "bury" the long term ones up to the hull so they won't tip over in hurricanes

Nicest boat in the yard by far....not sure what they did to deserve this.

Now when the guys from the yard they told us how quiet it is back here.  That seemed like some compensation for the quarter mile walk to the marina.  The 528 hi-way does in fact get quiet after 10:00 PM.  The issue is this though….

Door beyond the red fire extinguisher.....

Door beyond the red fire extinguisher…..

You see this photo was taken from the bow of the boat, and see the 4th door down beyond the fire extinguisher?  Well at about 10:30 every night a a group of guys roll into the alley between the storage units, throws up the door and then begins to practice.  That’s right practice as in ROCK BAND!!!  Until about 1:00 AM.  Now these kids are pretty good, have original music and HAVE gone out of their way not to bother people.  They are in an un-air conditioned storage unit in an industrial park!!  Am I to tell them to stop?   Where would they go?  The issue with the practice is that they will start a song, stop, re-start, the percussionist will set the pace, rinse lather repeat.  At times like this it is better to laugh than cry!!!  We just turn up the fan, put in the ear plugs and roll with it.  Livin’ the dream.

Incentive to get back to your normal lullaby of waves against hull, and wind through the stays!
